.jpg) Winter Pet Care
Keep pets indoors in a dry, warm place free of drafts.
Outdoor cats and kittens often sleep on car engines for warmth. Knock on the hood or
honk the horn before starting your vehicle.
Always have fresh clean water available for your pet.
After walking you pet outdoors be sure to remove any ice, salt, or mud from their paws.
Check your pets feet for frostbite. Frostbite turns the skin reddish, white, or grey and it may be scaling
or sloughing.
If you suspect your pet to have frostbite contact your veterinarian immediately.
Many holiday plants are toxic to pets Mistletoe, Christmas rose, Holly, Poinsettia, and Philodendrons are just a few.
During the holidays be sure to keep electrical chords, tinsel, and glass ornaments out of reach
of your pet.
Never put a ribbon around your pets neck. Although it may be festive, their potential to be injured
greatly increases.
Holiday treats such as chocolate and bones can be harmful to your pet.
